From Kotor’s waterfront, a licensed captain takes you by speedboat to Our Lady of the Rocks, Mamula Island, a former submarine tunnel, and the Blue Cave. You get about 20 minutes on the church island, snorkeling gear for a swim, bottled water, Wi-Fi, and a small-group ride capped at 16 people. Captains such as Dragan, Chris, and Igor are known for friendly service.

There was not room to get comfortable for a very long boat ride. The first stop was at Our Lady of the Rocks, the church on the island. It was very hot, no shade, and packed with people. From Kotor, Sea Horizon’s three-hour speedboat tour combines Bay of Kotor views with Mamula Fortress, a former submarine tunnel, Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks, and a swim near the Blue Cave. You’ll ride with a small group, use provided snorkel gear when available, and hear short commentary from the skipper. The ride can be very bumpy.

“This tour is a hit or miss. It says 3hour tour but with the amount you paid for? I dont think it is worth it. Let me tell you why. You will just go to Lady of the Rocks which is just an island for 20min, and another 15min to just very quickly see the Blue Cave and have some dip in the water. Thats it nothing special! We were disappointed for mainly two things: 1. The speed boat driver/ tour guide was rude and did not care about us, as if he is just rushing to finish his job and go home. We could not even understand a word…”
